Singeing open width knitted fabric

The 'Universal' Singeing Machine is a special variant of the Parex Mather singe unit specially developed for singeing open width knitted fabrics as well as woven fabrics.

The 'Universal’ has internal driven rollers to draw the fabric through the machine, both draw rollers are water cooled.

The burners are arranged to singe the fabric whilst it is supported on draw rollers, resulting in one singe being given to each face of the fabric.

To open the fabric, two full width driven scroll rollers are fitted at the machine entry immediately before the first draw roller.

Any sparks carried through by the fabric are extinguished by a short steaming unit on the exit.

Where fabric production is of both woven and knitted types and production levels cannot justify dedicated ranges, then the 'Universal' singe unit can provide a versatile cost-effective processing solution for both types of fabric.
