The 2 ‑ Bowl Calender

The 2 ‑ bowl calender is a compact and versatile machine that caters for a wide variety of finishes. This machine is fitted with an heated steel roll and either a compressed cotton roll or a roll with a polyamide sleeve.. For polyester/cotton blends or synthetic fabrics high gloss effects can be achieved by means of temperature and pressure alone. For Schreiner or repeat emboss finishes an engraved steel roll can be fitted.

Special features include:
External air and internal water cooling to the polyamide roll to protect it against the heated steel roll.
For wide width machines the steel and polyamide rolls can be fitted with anti‑deflection centres to ensure uniform pressure at different loads.

Operating Modes:
Rolling, Frictioning, Embossing.

Effects:
Matt finish, glazing, chintz, Schreiner or embossing.

Bowls:
TOP Chrome plated steel ‑heated, or engraved steel ‑ heated,
BOTTOM ‑ Polyamide, cotton, or woollen paper.
